John NunnSample pages (pdf)
Grandmaster John Nunn has carefully selected thirty games to help the reader understand the most important aspects of the chess struggle and to illustrate modern chess principles in action. Almost every move is explained in clear language and most of the games are from the 1990s and show how key ideas are handled by the Grandmasters.
The book is divided into three parts: Opening Themes, Middlegame Themes and Endgame Themes. A great follow up for those who have read "Secrets of Modern Chess Strategy".
