Alik Gershon & Igor Nor
This book of the official FIDE World Championship of 2005 does justice to an extremely strong event. Printed on gloss paper throughout, with plenty of colour photos of the event and scenery and all the games annotated by the authors, this is a tournament book of equal quality to the great tournament books of the past. The event was won by Veselin Topalov in convincing fashion, provoking unfounded accusations of "computer assistance", which subsequent performances have refuted.
Authors, Israeli GM Alik Gershon and trainer Igor Nor analyse all the games from the tournament and explain the ideas behind the moves.
