Milos PavlovicSample pages (pdf)
Milos Pavlovic explores new ideas in both the Moden Benoni and the Delayed "Yugoslav" Benoni where Black delays playing ..e6; until after White's e2-e4. This gives White the additional option of capturing on d5 with his e-pawn.
The Benoni is one of the sharpest defences Black can play; a knowledge of the dynamic and tactical ideas explored in this book is crucial. The risks are high for both sides but White cannot enjoy an easy small advantage, as in other queen pawn openings.
Grandmaster Milos Pavlovic was born in Belgrade in 1964. He has won many chess tournaments worldwide and in 2002 he became the Yugoslav Champion. He is a well known theoretician, and the author of three books and numerous articles published in various chess magazines.
