Nottingham 1936 was a tremendously strong tournament, featuring four World Champions (Lasker, Capablanca, Alekhine & Euwe) as well as players of the strength of Botvinnik, Reshevsky, Fine and Flohr. In total the event featured fifteen players and was won jointly by Capablanca and Botvinnik.

This book includes a tournament cross-table and indexes of players and openings.

Alexander Alekhine was World Champion from 1927 to 1935 and from 1937 to 1946. He was a renowned author, noted for both his bluntness and the quality of his annotations.
