Daniel Naroditsky

Daniel Naroditsky became World Junior Chess Champion in 2007 and now, at the age of 14, he has written his first chess book! In fact he started writing it when he realised that his own lack of positional understanding was hampering his play. Therefore the book covers some important aspects of middlegame play such as Prophylaxis, Defence in Worse Positions, Building and Breaking Fortresses, Positional Sacrifice, Paralysis in the Middlegame and Manoeuvring.

Each chapter includes annotated games which ilustrate the concept in question, followed by a summary of the main points to remember and exercises to test the reader's understanding.

Overall the book is aimed at players of good club standard and above and includes a lot of the training material and notes which Naroditsky compiled for himself when trying to improve his own positional play.

Published 2010, softback, 239 pages.
