The topics covered are Tactics & Combinations, How to Analyse a Position, How to Formulate a Plan, Opening Principles & Ideas and Endings. In each chapter there are four subject lessons illustrated by examples from play. The final chapter contains diagrammed test positions with quizzes on the earlier lessons. The book offers the average club player all the fundamentals with which to build a sound game and increase his or her rating in future.
