In this book, Grandmaster Gawain Jones recommends meeting the Sicilian with 3.Bb5 after both 2..d6; and 2..Nc6; for Black. These systems are known as the Moscow and Rossolimo Variations respectively. Against 2..e6; he recommends the King's Indian Attack and includes two chapters on this. Sicilians with alternative 2nd moves for Black are examined in the book's final chapter.
All these systems are analysed using 77 complete games from recent master praxis with Jones' extensive annotations and explanations helping to highlight key strategies and tactics.
Gawain Jones is a Grandmaster and one of the UK's leading players. He represented England at the 2008 Chess Olympiad and gained an individual silver medal playing top board at the 2006 European Club Championship.
