The 5th edition of Encyclopedia of Chess Combinations is a reorganised and updated edition of one of the fundamental books about the art of combinational chess. In comparison to the 4th edition, about 200 of the examples are new. The content represents the work of an editorial board of experienced Grandmasters and International Masters.

Altogether there are ten themes with 3001 combinations, subdivided into three difficulty levels, from easiest to most challenging. Each combination has a diagrammed position for the reader to solve, with solutions provided at the end of each chapter. Indexes of players and commentators are also included.

This is a powerful hardcover book of 656 pages that offers years of enjoyment and training material to test the reader's tactical ability.

Published 2014, hardback, 656 pages.
