The 2008 women's World Chess Champion is known also as a fashion model, having appeared on the cover of many magazines. In this autobiography she describes her ascent to the peak of women's chess, beginning with her role as a child star in Russia and continuing through her achievements in becoming both European and Russian women's Champion and, finally, World Champion.

Her book is part game collection, with 64 annotated games, part memoir and part travelogue as she describes the many interesting places her life on the chess tournament road has taken her and the people she has met.

The book includes eight pages of colour photgraphs and many black & white photographs interspersed amongst the text.

Alexandra Kosteniuk was born in Perm, Russia and Became Women's World Chess Champion in 2008.
