This collection of 60 of Joel Johnson's games offers a detailed analysis of various attacking ideas for White in a selection of (mainly e pawn) openings. The games are from a mixture of over-the-board and ICC tournaments with opponents are rated between 1000 and 1800 USCF. Johnson explains where his opponents go wrong and shows how to exploit the typical mistakes made by club players in an attacking style.
Joel Johnson started playing tournament chess at the age of 17. Less than six years later he gained the National Master title, raising his USCF rating to 2320. He is currently working towards an International Master title.
