Tim Harding
This collection of 50, extensively annotated, games is taken from correspondence chess (CC) praxis dating from 1831 to 2003. It features a mixture of famous games and some which have never appeared in print before together with detailed analysis of the openings in those games which have had a significant impact on theory. Many games feature annotations by the players involved with additional material by author Tim Harding. There are games featuring CC World Champions such as Sanakoev, Estrin, Timmerman, Umansky. The way in which CC has been interpreted has changed over the years. In early games players aimed for a tactical slugfest in the middlegame; later novelties in the opening became all important and these days good endgame technique is crucial. To succeed at CC a player must exhibit a high quality of play in all areas of the game and the resulting games are both rewarding and instructive for the reader. Each game in this collection features information about the players and tournament in which they met as well as numerous diagrams and a good balance of text and analysis.
Published 2004, softback, 272 pages.

Alex Dunne
This collection of games comes from players on the 1992 ICCF "Top 50 List" of the best correspondence chess players in the USA. Each player on the list was asked to contribute a game for this book. 27 of them replied and so the first 27 games have annotations, by that player, and a brief introduction with some background material. The final 23 games are from players who did not respond and so feature just the moves from the game.
Alex Dunne has been a columnist for "Chess Life" magazine and a keen correspondence chess player.
Published 1994, softback, 148 pages.
