Bruce Alberston
In this follow up to Chess Mazes Bruce Alberston has created hundreds more chess mazes, of greater difficulty than those found in books one. The maze problem consists of checking Black's king in the minimum number of moves without putting your own piece en prise. Sounds easy? On a crowded board these can be really tough problems requiring accurate calculation of the type needed in game play. The idea of the chess maze positions is to increase a player's ability to visualise and calculate in chess by solving these maze puzzles. The book contains 216 maze puzzles as well as illustrative examples and explanations for each chapter.
Published 2008, softback, 141 pages.
