This rare periodical was intended to appear every six months from the world famous Chess Informant publishing house. In fact only two issues were ever published. Top 12 + 1 features a selection of recent games played by the world's top 12 male players and top female player Judith Polgar. In addition there is a statistics section documenting each player's opening preferences, results and rating evolution. Finally the theory section examines the latest developments in various opening systems (here B42, B81, C18, C42, C67, C78, D97, E15) with well annotated key games. Pub. 2001, softback, 247 pages.
